- Bucket on first 3 possessions gives us a 6-0 lead and forces a quick G-town timeout.
- Reed seems to be dominant early on.
- 2nd foul on Silas pretty early. Smith will be tested for the remainder of the half.
- Six minutes left in the half. We're leading, but so far, our outside shooting has been horrible.
- And as soon as I say that, Mullins finally hits a 3.
- Not sure why it bothers me that Smith seems to set up and run the offense 2 or 3 feet farther behind the 3pt line than Demary does.
- Demary sitting for most of the half really hurt us -- leading by a measly 4 at the break scares me a bit.
- As far as I'm concerned, Reed was the only Husky to play well in the first half, and that was only for the first 8 or 9 minutes.
- Our 1st possession of the 2nd half, Reed gets called for a moving screen. G-town immediately comes down court and uses a moving screen to set up a 3, and no call. WTH?
- When Mullins' shot is 'on', he's great. But when it's not, he's a deterrent.
- Lost the lead quickly in 2nd half. Took 7-1/2 minutes to get it back.
- Mullins finally contributes, dropping a three on a broken play. He ended up a woeful 2 of 8 from 3.
- Alex sure picked a lousy time to forget how to shoot.
- Couldn't believe Solo missed those two FTs with <30 seconds left. He's an 84% FT shooter.
- As poorly as we played, I'm kind of shocked we won.
- We were beaten pretty soundly in every column except steals (8-3), blocks (6-1) and turnovers (6-13). Outrebounded 34-40, outscored from the field 47-55.
- If Cooley hadn't adopted the "grab and swipe 'cuz they can't call 'em all" defense we might've been in deep doo-doo. That strategy resulted in a 15 take and 7 make advantage from the foul line, without which, we'd be going home losers. Losers to a very mediocre team, at that.
