From Rich's blog, according to KML:

“Everybody aspired to be like Kelly Faris on this team,’’ UConn freshman Kaleena Mosqueda-Lewis said. “And I think that’s what made us so great is that you want to be like Kelly Faris … work hard every day, all the time no matter what, rain or shine.’’

I can't think of higher praise.

Indeed. Kelly is not the greatest player UConn has ever had by any stretch, but she is exactly the kind of model players with KML's talent should model themselves after. Combine talent with Kelly's work ethic, team-oriented approach, and just all out willingness to do what's necessary on every possession, and you will have great players. I am very pleased that she'll overlap with the three kids coming in next year.

We sure do throw the term GREAT around freely. This team was not great it was flawed. If it was great we would have been playing on Tuesday. Kelly is a baller and a gamer, what we needed was a finisher. The ladies over achieved and to that I salute them.

I have a sneaking suspicion that we're adding the 6'2" version of Kelly next year in the form of one Morgan Tuck.

I think if the kids next year that are coming in strive to work as hard as Kelly does in practice and in games...with their natural abilities, they are going to be superstars.

I believe that Breanna Stewart is considered very intense by none other than Jen Rizzotti. Consider the source. :D

Greatness isn't measured in terms of winning. Either one understands the depth of what Kaleena said, or one doesn't.
