What in the Sio Moore and Bama Wilson Happened? A Defense.

Haven't seen that D in many years. Swarming to the ball with gang tackling. Pressure D the entire game. Made Logan Fife look like Barney Fife. The defensive secondary looks far more connected with one another. Looks like they've been coached up. You would have thought that Kendall Reyes made his return to Husky Blue and White or Foley Fatukasi. Maybe we'll see the next UCONN defensive player in the NFL. Who might be able to play on Sundays? What say you?

I say agreed...and this portends well for the rest of the season.

The talking heads kept prattling on about how Fife wouldn't miss a beat from the injured starter (forgot his name). Clearly not. UConn's D certainly applied consistent pressure, but he had opportunities to make plays and as often as not didn't.

Pressure on the line opened holes for the LB and allowed the DBs some time to cover. Fife is going to be a good QB, UConn's defense just dominated the line of scrimmage which is the reason they won. I think they got some confidence from this and playing that three game gauntlet
