Trying to get my arms around this. Also someone made a 200k money line bet on UConn yesterday at Hooters. Which coukd be a hedge on an Iowa State future or could just be someone who really likes them tonight.

Not sure which of the following surprises me the most:
That you can bet large sums of money at Hooters.
That people "hedge" bets on basketball teams like traders hedge bets on commodities.
That there is a silent K in the word "could."
For what it's worth the best sports gambler I have access to is on UConn and Tennessee tonight.
Take UConn by a couple. (Home court advantage and no Niang.) Take the over - 146.5. Fast paced game. Iowa State played a "slow schedule". I guess they think there will be a lot of scoring and we have just enough to come out on top. I would think the winner would have to be in the 80s.

Hooters is a William Hill sportsbook. Most of the properties in Vegas are either Hill or Cantor at this point.
The best reason to bet futures is the ability to hedge. If you had ISU at 100-1 or something, you'd probably want to lock in some profit.

Under is the right play, IMO. MSG is historically a building the under hits more times than not, especially in the college game. They play with the NBA hoops/rims and they are tighter than most college arena rims. This results in more missed shots as the rim wont be as forgiving.
Also the public loves high scoring games so they will more of the time take the over. Iowa St is known to run up and down the floor and a lot of people outside of CT view the huskies as an up and down team and don't necessarily view them as a slow it down and run half court sets. I think that will be UConn's gameplan. Push transition but if an easy bucket isn't there then slow it down and run good sets and wait for good looks. They will also look to limit Iowa St transition game.
Whoever controls the pace will win this game. Up and down and Iowa St probably wins but if it becomes a defensive slugfest and played in the half court sets then UConn will have the better chance. Just have to play great D and hold their own on the boards.
