No more WCBB to watch, too early for Olympics games. I have vented (almost) all of my extreme dislike of all things nd to the point of exhaustion.

Congrats to Baylor. A well deserved win, a special year going 40-0, with an amazing player.

Now, I guess I will focus on cleaning out my basement to make room for some kind of exercise equipment. Anyone want to help?

Not really.

Personally, I think the 40-0 is being overplayed. They won 40 ONLY because they played 40. Any of the teams that went 39-0 would have won 40 if they had the chance. It's not that big a deal, in my humble opinion.

Of course, Baylor now has a good chance to go 40-0 again next year. ( or however many games they have scheduled.)

ETA: Just heard Muffet say that Griner plays like a man. Whoa....

Especially on ESPN. The question is, how do we get to play 41 games next year? Congrats to Baylor and to their visitors to our board--that means you, ETT!

Any team that goes undefeated, whether it is 39-0 or 40-0 has accomplished a great feat. They are in rarefied air, and that deserves acknowledgment and recognition.

Yardwork.

Then OT threads about the best places to (fill in the blank) in Connecticut and the other 49 and beyond!

I made the same point in another thread. The difference between 39-0 and 40-0 is one over-matched opponent. An undefeated season is an amazing accomplishment and should be highlighted and celebrated. But I agree that 40-0 was overplayed by ESPN. Also, there's a team that went 39-0 in back-to-back years...and then won 12 consecutive games on top of that. I do agree that Baylor has a good chance to go undefeated next year; we'll see what UConn can do with Griner next year.

I'm positive that McGraw's comment about Griner was intended to be a compliment. Just like Taursai "plays like a guy" was a compliment.

"I am disappointed that ESPN would so clearly take my comment about Brittney out of context," the statement read. "I would hope that it was clear to those in attendance at Tuesday's press conference that my comments were meant to be complimentary, and in reference to her style of play and her dominance in our game, nothing more.

Time to hibernate until September. ;)

Glad to see Brittney played the final game in a manner that befit all the hoopla she received during the year. She is special.

I'll help - supervise. Regarding the cleaning part, whenever I feel energetic, I lie down until the feeling passes.
