Here's a handy link to every WBCA team selected ever:

http://sports.espn.go.com/ncw/news/story?id=406268

Just reading through that, I'm floored by how nasty those teams are. In recent years, 2011-13 were amazing. Imagine 2012, for instance, with Griner, EDD, Skylar (all top three WNBA draft picks), plus Sims and BOTH Ogwumike sisters. Or 2011, which had BG and Maya, along with Nneka and Courtney Vandersloot. And there's a lot to like about 2009 and 2002 as well. :)

Given all of that, who do you think is the most formidable team? What are some teams you'd love to see square off against each other?

Fun to think and talk about in any event...

2008's team is the deepest. All 10 have gone on to be double figure scorers in the W, and all are still starters 6 years later excluding Wiggins and Montgomery, who are both still in the league. Fowles, Langhorne, Parker, McCoughtry, Moore and Toliver have all been named to All-WNBA teams.

Outside of the WBCA team, look at how much future talent was playing during the 2008 season outside of the WBCA All-American team:

Tina Charles-Olympian, WNBA MVP
Nicky Anosike-WNBA All Star
Jayne Appel-2x WBCA All Star, current WNBA starter
DeWanna Bonner-6 straight seasons as a double figure scorer in the WNBA
Monica Wright-double figure scorer in WNBA
Danielle Robinson-WNBA All Star
Jantel Lavender-double figure scorer in WNBA
Tasha Humphrey-her career never panned out in the W, but she was NFOY and a WBCA All American in 2006
Matee Ajavon-double figure scorer in WNBA
Essence Carson-double figure scorer in WNBA
Marissa Coleman-#2 pick in 2009 WNBA Draft
Laura Harper-2006 Final Four MOP
Alexis Hornbuckle-#4 pick in 2008 draft, outstanding as a rookie and 2nd year player in the WNBA even though her career never panned out
