I only want the best for Randy Edsall. But if UConn finds it has a head coach's job available what about Terry Bowden? He is currently an assistant at Clemson. Bowden was previously head coach at Salem University (1983–1985), Samford University (1987–1992), Auburn University (1993–1998), the University of North Alabama (2009–2011), and the University of Akron (2012–2018). He is a son of former Florida State University head football coach Bobby Bowden and a brother of Tommy Bowden, former head football coach at Clemson University, and Jeff Bowden, the former offensive coordinator at Florida State who served as Terry's special teams coordinator at Akron.

Yes. With the guys available for a position that’s not open, let’s go with a guy who hasn’t won since we were 1AA. Good gravy.

At least troll when we actually have a head coach opening.

I'm all for moving on from Edsall, but with Terry Bowden? No thanks. UConn needs to look at Funbelt or MAC Head Coaches that have had success coaching the offensive side of the football. If you can't find a match there go the P5 Coordinator Route but on the offensive side of the ball. The program needs a guy who can scheme around talent mismatches and put a product on the field that more than just the true diehards will pay to watch. Look at the results over the last 3 years. What do you have to lose?

I like the Gator Offensive Coordinator, Brian Johnson....in his two seasons with the Gators he has developed a QB (nobody recruited) into a Heisman contender.

He will eventually be somebody's head coach.

If we’re hiring a coach with a famous last name why not hire Stephen Belichick. Besides coaching football he can bring the mullet back to CT.

I grew up in Shelton. The mullet was, is, and always will be the coiffure of the Valley.

The problem is.................can we find the money to pay him enough to warrant a move?

Haha this was a joke about the absurdity of saying we should hire Terry Bowden
Whoops my bad.

Also to be perfectly honest, I was calling for Fulmer to be hired when Edsall left.
