Watching all of these upsets today while knowing our Huskies were one of the major upsets is a nice change from the loss to SMU last weekend………..

There may not have been a big change in offense as of yet but the change in heart a week later is something to smile about……I believe they will start knocking down shots again so if they combine this passion on D with a sudden return of O they can be very scary and fun to watch.

Did Duke lose yet? lol……Cuse, UK…….a great start to March!

Upset? Our Huskies were at least a 4 point favorite today...

Anyways, tough to play perfect every game out...glad you didnt jump the wagon after that frustrating SMU loss...

Good point we were fav's but they were #10…..guess that shows how solid the polls are this year huh?

You mentioned "frustrating" for last week…spot on….but not enough to ever jump…looking forward to quite a few more games!;)

Much better feeling today compared to last weekend. We won ugly and your right we'll start to knock down shots again. If we could only find the string to pull for DD and get him going for the rest of the season we could do a little damage in the tournaments (conference & NCAA).

If I told you that Omar would be a no show to this point in the season and DD was no better than the first 2/3rds of last season at the beginning of the season, you would expect that we would be around 500 right now. We know Omar is in there somewhere, just not sure if he becomes as good as he was last year soon. We have seen DD put up some monster games and then put up several lackluster games. Kromah after having a good middle of the season has been off and Amida after showing some serious game, hasn't given much lately. Even Gif can't hit an open three right now. Yet we are about to be back in the top 25 easily. We're a lock for the NCAA Tournament.

They are winning the old fashion UConn way - Defense and effort. If some of that missing fire power among DD, Omar, Giffey, Kromah and Boat comes around even 50% and Amida and Nolan play like they have at their best, we are a team nobody wants to face.

We're a couple of brush strokes away from a masterpiece or at least a seriously good piece of art.

I was too optimistic about this team before the season. The home loss to SMU is enough to fuel any UConn fan's fears. The shooting is way off, and even the ft shooting was below par against Cincinnati. The offense actually looked pretty decent until the very late game struggles
against Cincy's pressure. There were plenty of good looks on the inside and the outside. The ball didn't get stuck. Remember this is against
arguably a top 5 defensive team.

As a team using the unerring z eyetest; they are better rebounding and defensively than they were early in the year. This is as a team, forget about the individuals for a minute. For those of you who tape the games, spend 15 minutes or so watching Giffey on defense in the second half of this game. Forget the ball, just watch Giffey. Then do the same thing with Kromah, then with Boatright, then with Nolan, then with Daniels. Then think about the defensive game plan Coach Ollie put together.

That's not to say than UConn won't have lapses; they could easily lose the first game in the Conference tournament. Playing Memphis in Memphis is a disaster waiting to happen. Still this is a very good defensive team, bordering on excellent; if the shots fall, then UConn is no worse than a very good offensive team.

Ollie can coach, and this team can play more than a little. Still don't expect to be ranked above 20 on Monday. Don't expect better than a 6 or 7 seed in the NCAAs.

We are too good of a shooting team to continue the slump. Once the shots start falling again, watch out.
I was thinking the same thing. Watch out when the shots start falling!! So excited for what's to come. Lets go HUSKIES!
