My guess is coverage will be similar to what it was this year. Probably a football game and maybe coverage of an exhibition game in basketball, or an early season cupcake.

The bulk of the coverage seems to be pre/post game shows and airing UConn produced content. Essentially, they are monetizing what would otherwise not be broadcast material.

yeah saw that, and that's the hope.

i'm all for local engagement, but not at the cost of national exposure for a real game

I'm all for any and all exposure we can get, but those pre-game shows with Joe Zone and Erin Connolly were tough to watch given all the fluff.

Joe Zone: "Let's throw it out to Marc Robbins inside Gampel Pavilion for tonight's big game."

Marc Robbins: "Thanks Joe, I'm standing in the student section with students who arrived here 12 hours ago, camping out out for the big game. Here's one of those student's now. Are you excited for tonight's game?"

Random UConn Student: "Woof, woof, we are pumped! Go Huskies! Wooooo! Bleed Blue! UConn..... Huskies! Huskies.... UConn!"

Marc Robbins: "Well, there you have it Joe, students are pumped up for tonight's game. Back to you in the studio."

I'm not living in Connecticut anymore, so I have no idea what Joe Zone's deal is.

I left CT 7+ years ago and couldn't tolerate Joe Zone just doing sports reporting. The few times I've seen him on streaming doing First Night or the parade, he's been totally unwatchable.
