On the SEC network...

Worth the watch for Sophie Cunningham alone. She is a frosh from Missouri.

Super talented kid. Committed early to the Tigers

She already has 20 and it's not halftime

Cunningham would've been a great get for UConn. Skill, smarts, and hustle.

Wasn't she impressive??

Smart basketball player. She should have been on the ESPN top freshman to watch.

42 points!! Where was she rated in HS? Where is she from? Does Napheesa know her?

She and Collier squared off several times while Cunningham was at Rock Bridge. Cunningham did about as good a job defensively on Collier as anyone I can remember. She ended up being ranked 28th by Hoopgurlz and 13th by Bluestar.

Hoopgurlz had her rated at 28th.

She committed pretty early to Missouri. Her older sister goes there.

She scored 42 points but it was the intangibles I noticed. She dove on the floor, rebounds, nice passes, deflections. Always seemed to be in the right place.

Napheesa's team beat her team three consecutive years. The last two years her school was class 4 and Cunningham's school was class 5. Napheesa's team beat three of the final four teams in class 5 in Napheesa's senior year. Wake had at least three players who were really good, including a freshman. Napheesa was player of the year three consecutive years; one in class 5 and the other two in class 4. Cunningham was player of the year in class 5 for at least two years. She was a top 50 player, maybe top 30.

Did anybody on Wake look like a player ?

Cunningham out shined everyone

I love this board. I saw the game listed, but it didn't peak my interest. After reading this thread, I added Missouri women to my watch list.

Sophie was sensational! A big, agile, hometown kid who can shoot the lights out, rebound, pass, move, etc. I know this is a UConn board but I'm sooooooo glad she's at Mizzou for 4 years where we can watch her play live and in person. If you get a chance to watch her on an SEC telecast be sure to tune in.

The first time I saw her she was a sophomore. Me and my granddaughter commented on how good she looked as a player.
