will never forget when we arrived in Morgantown for our football game in 2011 - it was before 8am and the first person to greet us in the parking lot was an older, shirtless mountaineer with limited teeth who recommended we head straight to the best pregame spot... the Applebee's bar

A reminder that no matter what happens this week, we still will not have lost a game with our starting lineup intact. Recall that Whaley sat out the MSU game. Our full rotation is 6-0 (including 2-0 in the Bahamas) and will be 6-0 next week regardless.

We beat Auburn, who has destroyed everyone since, with our full slate. Fully healthy we can compete against anyone.

When I pretty much lived in Ky in the 1990’s at that time the town was still pretty rural. There was an new Applebee’s pretty much on the hotel premises.I think is was the first chain in the town.
Applebee’s hit many small towns and enjoyed a monopoly for a period.
If I didn’t have a dinner set up I frequently ate at the bar.
Actually that place was usually jammed. I think they even had live entertainment on some nights.
A little later that town started to boom with a bunch of restaurants and hotels.
That area of Ky became a hot place for automotive sub suppliers as it’s centrally located to many car manufacturers.
The Bartender at Applebees was from Cincinnati and a big basketball fan so the conversation helped passed the time.
i had given up drinking in the 1970’s and my idea of a bar was a Bridgeport or Valley blue collar bar. If you weren’t doing boilermakers you weren’t a man. You seldom saw a women in those places.
I use to kid him he was more of a soda jerk than bar tender with some of the drinks he made.

Does anyone know if Sean McNeil is playing for WVU? He was out last game verse Radford- he’s probably their second or third best player.

Haven't announced. Last update was day to day, chance he misses.

Just this from a WVU sports site.

This is one massive downside to the legalization of sports betting: Everyone gives out picks now because it's the 'trendy' thing to do, but most do little research and don't know jack about betting. This is such lazy analysis.
Post/handle

My one concern this will come down to coaches strategies and in game decisions. If so, Huggins wins. Read Huggins pre game view of this game on Monday. He made comments he wants to see and expects his shooters to be making more shots and he did sound more positive about Sean Michael their leading 3 point shooting guard being able to play. Disregard his comments Sean is day to day. He will play, a lot. Team shoots an average of 38 3’s a game making on average 13/game.. We ‘will see how food our perimeter defense is In defending all these 3’s.

Hurley is also notoriously bad on the road. Morgantown isn’t an easy place to play.

Auburn was missing their best player when we played I believe

He's been out the whole season, though and they are undefeated outside of our game with them.
Gotcha. I remember an Auburn poster coming here and I was under the impression he may not be out much longer after our game

I think he's supposed to be back this month at some point, but it was a serious injury so who knows.

It’s great for sharp bettors. See where the public is going and go the other direction.

You almost wonder if insider-trading-ish conspiracies will ever start to be revealed

Betting “influencers” get idiots to shift a spread a certain way so the real players make a killing
