they don't have much to cheer forDoesn't sound like a partisan MD crowd on tv
Obviously you weren't at the 2011 big east title game I think we traveled just fineI go to just about every game in the NY area, but Brooklyn at 6 something on a Friday is just not practical for me. I'll be at the BC game and Rutgers.
We were outnumbered in last year's game against NC State also. We just don't travel very well. Haven't for a decade.
This game was treated as a Maryland home game by Barclay's Everything was all about Maryland. However, there was a good showing by the UConn crowd, I believe it was around 65-35 in Maryland favor, but the UConn fans were loud and proud. As Maryland came closer toward the end, the difference in the crowd was very apparent. So, as nerve racking as it was, UConn performed extremely well down the stretch in front of what became a hostile environment, and not to quibble, but the officiating was mostly home cookin' for Maryland.Isn't Calhoun from Brooklyn? I was expecting that alone would draw a lot more UConn people in. This is not to mention the great Tor Watts.
The game evened out a bit once everyone was seated. I'd say 45-55 not counting their band and cheerleaders.
definitely, the crowd noise for those free thows was what you would hear playing on true road court. I was surrounded by a sea of UM fans.75/25 Maryland. When Samuels and Boat were bricking their free throws it was LOUD.
Agree that's about the ratio it felt like. Thought there would be more Husky fans there. MSG will hopefully be ours. We used to outnumber the Johnies so we should have a better crowd then.75/25 Maryland. When Samuels and Boat were bricking their free throws it was LOUD.
