Games are tomorrow!

For me, I'll be watching two games live:

Monday: Penn @ Iona - It's become an annual tradition for me to go to Iona's home opener the week of parent/teacher conferences. My school is just 25 minutes from Iona, so I'll just stay late to grading/prep for conferences and then head to the game. There's a chance Penn's star Jordan Dingle (20.9 ppg last season) won't play, which would stink, but I'm also curious who steps up in Iona's retooled backcourt.

Sunday: Columbia @ Sacred Heart - This will be my post-leaf raking reward. I love Sacred Hearts' frontcourt duo of Nico Galette and Bryce Johnson and after their backcourt from last year moved on (Tyler Thomas to Hofstra; Aaron Clarke to Stony Brook; Alex Watson graduated), 6'7 Quinnipiac grad transfer Brendan McGuire is tabbed as the team's point-forward. Hartford's Raheem Solomon (Niagara) was brought in for efficient two-way play while Hamden's Aidan Carpenter (Siena) brings athleticism and slashing ability. For Columbia, I'm excited for their youth movement: Will Avery Brown play?

First thoughts watching the start of the La Salle/Nova game:
  • Eric Dixon looks markedly quicker than last year.
  • I'm surprised Arcidiacono is starting over Mark Armstrong.

Providence has started slowly. Down 9 to Rider. Is Floyd hurt or is he not in their rotation?

Friars are experiencing the Curse of Dunkin. Down 10 at half.

I wonder if Amica insures season ticket purchases :D

Villanova lost to Temple who lost to Wagner. Yikes. That is not good by the transitive property.

I didn't watch the game, but Albany squandered a 38-27 lead at halftime to lose 75-62 to Siena.

Notable because Andre Jackson's brother, Marcus, has actually been a backup rotation piece as a freshman, averaging 10 minutes per game for Albany.
