A lot of upsets, I guess, this week, although honestly, other than about 5 teams, is it really that much of an upset when one of them gets picked off. I guess South Carolina, Wake Forest, Cincinnati or Syracuse losing to an unranked team is an upset. Sure. It does make for some entertaining football.

How did BCU beat Louisville? Louisville looks good. The 11/12 game against Clemson will be interesting.

This Pitt team is really good except for its terrible quarterback, Kedan Clovis. He just makes too many mistakes to win.

Texas A&M was preseason #6 and is 6 minutes from being 3-5. A 4 or 5 win season is not out of the question.

Oklahoma State is done as a candidate for the playoffs. Mike Gundy just can't get that team over the top.

Michigan beat Colorado State, Hawaii and UConn, and then just a bunch of Big 10 mediocrities. There can't be 9 game conference schedules with the 12 team playoff, because it is impossible to compare the conferences to each other when they majors don't play a lot of games against other good teams. What is the Big 10's second best OOC win after Ohio State over Notre Dame? Maryland over SMU or Buffalo?

We'll know how good Michigan is when they play Ohio State.

North Carolina is suddenly a team to pay attention to. I'm just learning about their 19 year old Redshirt Freshman QB (watched the second half vs PITT tonight) and he is terrific. NFL teams will be tanking next year for this kid. It's not out of the question that NC runs the table and ends up in the hunt for a playoff bid.

Fresno State with a huge comeback to beat San Diego State just now. Two touchdowns in 13 seconds with under 2 minutes left!

Our win against Fresno means a little bit more this morning.

Fresno has already played the toughest part of its MWC schedule. It could finish with 7 or 8 wins, making that a solid OOC win.

Fresno is likely to win its half of MWC and get a rematch with Boise for the championship. In reality, emotions aside, that and not BC will likely be our biggest and best win of the season (unless we shut down Liberty).

Miami-Florida State coming up this weekend. Remember when it was one of the big games of the year? Both teams have been so very average for so long now it is hard to remember they used to schedule this game for early season so the loser would have time to re-establish itself before the season ended. Now it is in November and nobody cares. And every new head coach is the guy who is going to return the canes to glory because (insert reason here). Then reality rears it’s ugly head.
