Nebraska was trying to run out the clock with a 1 point lead. Schiano calls a timeout after 2nd down, and then inexplicably calls another timeout before Nebraska hikes the ball again, burning his last one. Then, on 3rd and 11, Nebraska throws the ball to the sideline, Nebraska's wide receiver steps on the sideline, and then Rutgers' CB spins him and body slams him, getting an easy unnecessary roughness penalty.

Schiano never stops being Schiano.

Houston has come back to score 26 points in the fourth quarter to take a one point lead over Memphis. They had a successful onside kick and just stopped Memphis with a sack to finish the game. Crazy finish.

As bad as we have been the past 11 years it shows you how far Nebraska has fallen. At least they obtained being at the pinnacle of greatness in college football for many of years and now are struggling to beat Rutgers on a Friday night.

It kind of shows, it's a lot easier to fall to the bottoms than it is to climb to the top. Texas used to be the top of the food chain. At the moment they struggle with Kansas.

What is amazing about Kansas is they are playing toe to toe with teams with much better recruiting classes.

It shows you what coaching and culture can do. Yes...you have to have talented players....but it isn't the only thing.

Kansas had a run like this under Mark Mangino and Glen Mason a highly underated coach also had them playing really well for a stretch. CFB is about the coach.

Interested to see how the Ball State game turns out. They're 2-3 and needed OT to beat a 1-4 Northern Illinois. CMU is 1-4 too.

I don't want to have my head in the clouds but looking at our next 4: UMass and FIU suck. We might too, but they suck worse. Could go 2-0 there. Ball State is bad, just not sure how bad. And Boston College will likely be 2-5 coming to the Rent after playing Clemson and Wake.

We could go anywhere from 0-4 to 4-0 in this stretch but I'm reasonably optimistic we can go 2-2 or 3-1 over our next 4.

Two upcoming opponents for us on ESPN+ right now - Liberty at UMass. (Liberty's a 22 1/2 pt favorite.)

Ball State up 17-16, with the ball from their own 1 with 3:13 left.

FWIW, CMU was favored by 7.5.

2nd&17 after the penalty with 3:00 left and no CMU TOs left. 1:25 or so when CMU gets the ball back at maybe their own 40. I know nothing about MAC kicking so they need to get to about the 25.

This just got interesting.

Game over. Ball State for the Upset.

I'll reserve judgement on if UConn will beat Ball State until I see the Huskies play tonight. Definitely a possibility as of right at this very moment.

Not for nothing but Holy Cross is ranked #9 in FCS. Currently smashing Buckness 57-0, late in the 4th.

Utah state had a good win vs Air Force if that lead held up.
