Well folks, we're down to the last few games in conference play. All of the craziness in the ACC between conference and overall records has disappeared as of today (next post), however there may be some games that will impact the top 4 teams for conference tourneys. Green shaded are conf undefeated. Twelve top 25 matchups, and a whole host of other games that will be fun to watch.

Here is a look at conference standings vs overall. The ACC is a bit "cleaner" this week. The A-10 takes the 8th spot in NET ranking from Missouri Valley per W Nolan. I've marked the teams of interest around the bye lines.

Ayoka Lee played 5 minutes last game in her first back from her foot injury. Unfortunately there was soreness after that, so she's out again. That's not good.

Come on now. We scored 19 points in the first half against LSU at home last Sunday

Georgia scored 6 or less in 3 of the 4 quarters. Absolutely unbelievable. No defense is that good, that's just utterly incompetent play by UGA. The time to fire their coach was yesterday.

But Coach Abe is one of the up-and-coming coaches, isn't she? After she left the UFC ( ), she had a good run at Albany, followed by UCF and then being swiped by Georgia. The sky was the limit...

Yeah, I was gonna point out that Coach Abe is from the School of Hard Knocks. Knock the opponent hard on defense, hope for the best on offense.

@BRS24 You continue to do a great job with these threads and you are definitely leading the way to get BY poster of the year.

One quibble however.. Chapel Hill and Duke are listed in the same shade of blue. Not biased but that Darker shade of blue is far superior. Again no biases.. GTHC GTH

Haha. I actually pick a color that that is close (or that I remember), and then if a school is a similar one, I go for a different shade. I guess you could say, directionally correct, however acurately not so.

Northwesterns two SoCal games were postponed by the fires. Now they’re off and are being credited as NW forfeits.

Conference seems to be saying “YOU chose not to go, so you’re forfeiting.”

I see no problem with this. Penn St. made the trip to LA during the same time frame and played both games. Northwestern DID choose not to travel.

Just because they did it, doesn't mean it was a guaranteed good decision.
If you read the PennSt-UCLA writeup from 1/12 it says "one of the first sporting events to be held since the fires started," so it was still pretty iffy at the time.

If the issue is that NWern was offered a makeup date and refused then I can see a forfeit. But for not going during Jan? Questionable.
