The Ryder Cup is in late September but Wednesday on TV the captain Keegan Bradley makes his 6 'captain picks'. The following made the team via playing well enough to get automatic slots. Scottie Sheffler JJ Spaun XanderSchauffele Russell Henley Harris English Bryson DeChambeau Oft times the captain will pick several players ranked 7-12...but no guarantees to do that. Lots of hub-bub as to whether Bradley picks himself [he is ranked #11]. Be captain and play? Bradley said a few months ago that he would NOT pick himself. In June he won the PGA event in Ct....was very emotional and clearly began to think about that decision. He has had a very good year. He has a very fiery attitude and will love to gin up the NYC crowd. It will be difficult to be captain....following all his players....and also playing himself. Which decision would help the team more? 11:00 Wednesday we will know his 6 picks. BTW: One of the players being heavily considered for a slot is Cameron Young. Our very own TonyC played a round with Cameron when Young was 11 or 12 [now around 26]. Tony was suitably impressed with Cameron's game and potential. Young was ROY about 5 years ago....has a recent win and has been very good in Big events over the years. Hope he gets a Bradley pick.
