and now we advance......simple as that.

This team faced lots of roadblocks with Calhoun missing a boatload of games, boatright being banished by the NCAA twice, loss of Kemba to NBA....best leader Uconn ever, sophmore slumps, freshmen walls, twitter flubs and a pending post-season ban....they overcame.

We are in the dance....Coach gets a couple days of rest, the players heal some wounds....UConn will be heard from again this season....a sleeping giant is awake.

The team is 3-1 since JC arose out of the cave. The team is competetive and for the most part the same team that won it all last season. Should be a fun run in March.

Screwed up isn't the word.

****ed up is the correct term.

I imagine that Andre's broken nose didn't help.

I don't understand the "best leader ever" stuff. We were 9-9 in the Big East last year. Everything fell into plce at just the right time, and Kemba was a big part of the team's success. But there have been players who showed this type of leadership far earlier in their career.

I loved Kemba, but I saw him mostly as a product of Calhoun's system - Calhoun brought out Kemba's full potential.

I'm not sure what you mean by the statement we "survived" the regular season. As opposed to what? Dying? Quitting?

As in we are going to be in the NCAA tournament and still have a chance to make a run, as opposed to being in the NIT or worse where this season could have definitely gone. I thought the point was pretty clear.........

Are you familiar with the phrase..."survive and advance"....if you have watched college hoops the last 20 years you might have heard it once or twice. I think surviving is exactly what we did and now we advance to the tourney.

I'm familiar with that phrase. Are we supposed to be happy we made the NCAA tourney with a defending National Title team? I'm not.
