We Shot Bad

35% FG. 23% from 3. 17 days off I’m thinking we were game rusty and that will get better. Creighton has some big men and they tore us up inside. Would have liked to see more Sanogo even though his D is suspect. They were scoring easily over Whalley and Carlton anyway.

They seemed ice cold in the 2nd half. No rust excuses, gotta finish that game off

Yeah, bad percentages because we're not a good shooting team. I doubt that will change substantially. I don't think it will often be as bad as today but this won't be the only such game we see this season. We need an offensive game-plan that doesn't involve shooting 30 3-pointers.

Forced a lot of shots would like to see more ball movement for cleaner looks. That being said we missed a lot of open looks. Bouk was the only bright spot offensively

We need more action - movement, picks etc - off the ball. The action seems to mainly be ball screens and PNR, and this isn’t the NBA

Also went 5 minutes without an offensive point being scored in the first half. Let that BS call to end the first half granted them a 4 point lead as opposed going into halftime only down by 2!

We won't shoot this poorly every game but it wasn't just rust. We're terrible at generating good looks. Way too many late in the shotclock desperation shots.

We do not have another guard who can handle and shoot the ball like Bouknight. Until we do we will not win close games. How many times did the guards lose the ball and miss open shots. Plus Cole not getting one out of two foul shots at the end to make it a two possession game was the game.

Creighton has some big men and they tore us up inside.

We were told in multiple threads by multiple posters (including a PC fan) that their big men stink. They outplayed UConn's and that was most disappointing to me. Just one of the many frustrating reasons UConn lost this game.
