We are simply playing with fire and were going to be get smoked soon if we keep it up. We cant do anything about not having the essential ingredient the team needs-i.e Wolf at C--but we can place a higher premium on playing harder and smarert for 40 minutes. We show flashes of brilliance followed by troubling inconsistent play. I really believe we need to pick up the tempo of these games--get more guys involved and then the other guys have to step up. To me its a shame that Deandre Daniels does not score ATLEAST 20 pts a game--this guy is so talented offensively--to me he *could be* a top 5 offensive player in the nation at 6-9 with his ability to go inside out. Maybe we just need to be aggressive and put DD in position to take 15-17 shots a game --thats what hurts him--his passive character. We need to play faster--we need to open it up--we cant live in a halfcourt game--we saw what other teams can do to us inside. Our strength is speed and skill. We need to get to an open floor game and for us to compete seriously both Daniels and Calhoun have to bring it much more so than they have. DD has had his moments but hes under achieving--he needs a kick in the arse to tell him just how good he is and then he has to go out there and give us a 34 point 8 rebound game and not look back. Our star needs to be Deandre not Shabazz for us to be a final four team. Other teams will figure out how to contain Napier with size--just like they did on that last play before it broke. Deandre on the other hand is not guard-able--he just needs to change his mind set.

Well I could make a list of 2-3 pages of things that could be improved, but I won't and that's why I've been married so long.

Yes, scrappy - surprisingly, we are far from a perfect team 8 games into the season. What is perfect is our 8-0 record. So isn't it great to be undefeated and already have 4 power conference scalps despite getting nothing from the center position, up-and-down play from Boatright and Daniels to a certain extent, and very little from Omar Calhoun?

Don't want to go there but Wolfie would have been nice in a couple games this year, last night for sure. He's much tougher to shoot over than TO or Phil and AB was getting bodied off badly by Young last night taking him out of the potential for blocks........

The good news is these guys are all playing and will get better. If EW was here it wouldn't be like that so we're fine!!

I don't get how Kromah can continue to make key defensive contributions every night and show the ability to be a secondary ballhandler in the halfcourt, allowing either Boat or Bazz to get rest, and yet you still continue to make the same post game after game about Wolf. You really need to move on man, its beyond tired at this point.

We don't even have our lineups down yet, it's very early. Last night I saw Facey, Nolan, Giffey, Kromah and Boat out there for extended time in the 1st half. I don't want to see that again, but it's clear that Ollie hasn't figured out or settled on the best combinations yet.
