We have no offense

While we started out the game not guarding anyone, our offense in the 2nd half has been awful. I love Jim Calhoun and everything he has done for Connecticut basketball, but for a Hall of Fame Coach we run a high school offense. Every possession is Jeremy off a ball screen or a 1 on 1 clear out from up top with the shot clock running out and a 3 point chuck.

This is nothing new. We didn't have an offense last year but we had Kemba.

It's a fine offense if we attack the basket.

We get into these jags were we don't start the offense until there are under 20 seconds. We don't attack the basket and settle for bad shots with no time left on the clock.

When we attack the basket we pick up fouls and the floor opens up. Then we stop ourselves. We cease attacking the basket for a half dozen possession in a row. It's mind boggling..

We have not had offense the last three years. Last year we had Kemba who manufactured offense for everyone else. Two years ago and this year the teams looked clueless. I don't know what happened between 2004 and now but our offensive execution went down the drain. There is no flow, no beauty. It's just one on one and chuck it.
