A true story of triumph of will. Where a small rag tag group of sports fans whined just hard enough to force a major media conglomerate to grudgingly bring back a daily series of thinly veiled hatemails to a conference that just refuses to die. Thanks ESPN! Let us all now bask in our own semi-lustrous glory and mark the day the little guy won, sorta.
(Quick side note, don't bother me with any claims of prior threads on this. I do not care. This is my thread and it is special in its own special way. I will not have you spoil this moment.);)

It's one thing to put up a blog site. Will it actually have a knowledgeable moderator? OR, will ESPN just throw up national stories? What's the purpose of a blog site if it has no one or an ACC reporter wannabee to man it? We need a moderator with a real interest in AAC football to mentor this site? Do you think that the MOUSE will actually assign such a person?

Yes the blog is there, but still no designated blogger. No content. No lunch links. They are just pulling national stories (like whenever Louisville is mentioned) that would otherwise be in the "college football nation" blog and posting them on the "AAC" tab as well.

It's no victory yet.

That blog was worthless anyway. Bennett did a decent job when he was on it, but it's sucked with Adelson and Fortuna. This "blog" seems more like a big to all the people who trolled other blogs in protest.

There's no header for it with the rest of the blogs as of last night. So unless you know the url you don't know it exists....

We need to make more noise.

Hard to make noise on that site now. They did what the Courant did in making you comment through Facebook now. No more anonymity. I would never sign up for Facebook in a hundred years, but my guess is that a lot of the internet tough guys aren't so tough anymore.

Legitimate complaints with valid arguments can't hurt. Nor would demanding AAC content. I don't see why ESPN would be upset over people demanding AAC coverage or why ESPN wouldn't be interested in profiting off anything AAC if there's a demand for it.

The FB sign-in does suck, I agree.

I'm glad the blog is back and I hope they start putting AAC-specific content on it soon. But it still doesn't make any sense for Stanford to have its own blog.

I nominate Coach Cap!

Since the mid 1990's, when did ESPN care about having knowledgable people disseminate sports information?

Really? I always wonder why people say this. You are on Facebook whether you have an account or not. You just can't control what people post about you if you aren't.

(Completely OT but still)

That is actually very true. We're all tracked on cyberspace. But the attention-whoring on there and Twitter sucks.

As opposed to the "attention-whoring" here (albeit, a bit anonymously on the surface)? Just sayin' ...

Good thing Aresco negotiated for exposure.

At the very least, I hope they are building a case to break the contract if necessary.

Thx I didn't look there. I meant on the main College fball page where the rest of the blogs are half way down the page. There was no header there.

At least the attention-whoring here revolves around a common interest: UConn.

It's in the drop down menu now as well but still not listed on the main page itself. Oh, and the only recent articles all link to other stories written about Teddy Bridgewater. They might as well call it the Bridgewater blog right now.

Slow progress.

Since we're still waiting for the admins here to add CR and Football Recruiting boards to our drop down list, I guess we can't complain too much about a slow rollout.

I nominate Rob Lunn as the espn liason AAC resident blogger.

I second this! Although, on the larger topic of getting our blog back...it doesn't count in my book until someone is actually posting blog posts. A heading alone with generic stories doesn't cut it, but I'm trying to be patient.

Actually, I just visited the site a few minutes ago and found it seems like it might up and running a little bit more. Actual stories on the American! No dedicated blogger yet, but maybe we'll get there!
