Basically what Doug Gottlieb said around 430 today, on his radio show.
he was talking to a guest from kentucky, That agreed with him.

He said Our Players, Are basically Ghetto Hood Ballers and Kentucky's Are NOT.
Said the Kentucky Kids, Couldn't handle that......

He Was On With Mike Patrick Earlier, And Basically Said The Same Thing, But It Didn'tSound So Bad Though As He Was Basically Saying How Calhoun Recruited Tough Inner City Kids With A Chip On Their Shoulder.

yeah, it wasn't a bad thing and he actually quoted Calhoun, who said the Uconn kids aren't told "yes, yes, yes" all the time instead having to deal with adversity. Makes them tougher.

I agree

People in the media no longer try very hard to reason things out. It's all about sound bites. You don't have to think very hard to create them.

I think there is a certain truth to this. Napier and Boatright haven't had anything given to them. They are tough nosed kids who have experienced things far worse than losing a simple basketball game.

There is definitely a lot of truth in what he said. Ryan Boatright and Shabazz have had to fight for everything they've gotten their entire lives. They grew up in tough unforgiving places and when you are that size playing the game of basketball you have to play with a chip on your shoulder to always prove you are the best. Just watching Boat at the Gampel celebration he was walking with a serious limp, kid gutted out those final 9 minutes last night.

Amidah is from a fairly well off family in Ghana. Gif is not from the ghettos of Berlin. DD is from a good family in LA.

Gottleib was giving a compliment not talking disrespectful .....In other words he was saying if Uconn got punched in the mouth they wouldn't back off but fight harder

when i heard him say it, on the radio at work..
it did not come across, as a compliment.

more like a bunch of thugs from the ghetto, were too much for the nice kids of kentucky to handle.
