We're winning close games, our conference opponents are giving us their best shot, but we're simply not playing well

5 for 26 from three, we need to make more, many more.

We missed 6 of 8 FTs down the stretch, all by our best free throw shooters. Last game Reed was absolutely awful from the line. If you want to win a championship, you have to hit 80% from the line. Especially down the stretch

We're frustrated, I know the staff is frustrated, I know the players are the most frustrated, but still we are WINNING.

They're going to wake up. January will end, we're just not playing like a championship team this month

Arrogant and spoiled I suppose

Not a single UConn championship team shot 80% from the line.

I fell like if the game was absolutely "on the line"....Karaban, Ball, Mullins would have hit all or most of the FT's at the end. We had a 2 possession "cushion" that allowed us to squeak this one out fortunately.

Not all that concerned but there’s no question that our offense needs to improve. It’s baffling to me why we aren’t shooting it better from 3 when we have good shooters.

Perfect time for a week off before playing a tough opponent at home. I wonder if the staff had any input into the timing or is just the luck of the draw?

We had a lot of good looks tonight from 3. We won the game bc we had 5 turnovers. Outshot from 2, and from 3. And outrebounded.

The team needs some rest. Playing a grueling schedule with little rest in between games. Some minor injuries need time to heal. Have a week off should help.
I think they started their week off yesterday

Here we are being critical of our 18-1 natty contending team meanwhile old friend Syracuse is losing games to maybe the worst power conference team in the country. Perspective.

We don’t compare ourselves to irrelevant teams

Down the stretch today was disappointing but 4 of our 5 starters are at 80% or better for the season, even after today's game. And Reed went 5-5 today, go figure. He's up to 60.9%. Team will be fine from the FT line. That doesn't worry me.
Karaban - 84.6%
Ball - 82.4%
Demary - 80.6%
Mullins - 80%

I think the 00C schedule took its toll, emotionally as well as physically, but more emotionally. Those kids played big game after big game after big game and they came up big. I would imagine there’s an element of “we did our job “with regards to the OOC schedule, and may be a little let down as they got into the big east. Bit of a break now. As one poster pointed out, they’ll be ready for Nova!

Does playing 2x a week, once at home, require rest?

There were a lot of teams that played tough early season schedules. All relative.

Yes. Arizona in a tight one so far.
Would we actually jump AZ if they lost? Given we both have 1 loss, and they beat us, and since we haven't looked all that impressive?

Yes? We lost to them without 2 starters and their L would be worse than our L unless it was away at one of the top 4 teams in the BIG12

Gotta make sure you always take the opposite thought, understandable.
