In the last 12 games that Bazz has come off the bench...but seriously I think bazz serves this team best coming off the bench. He is a solid bball player who is a streaky shooter. I think our best lineup is the one we started with. Bazz makes up for his lack of athleticism with his poise and ball handling. He is a valuable key to the team but I think best used off the bench with a lot of playing time...and that was great game coming back down 18 to win against a tough nova team who nearly upset a very good notre dame team.

Didn't he come off the bench against Georgetown? And Bazz looked fine the 3 games prior to this one, he looked as quick as he did in the beginning of the season and was making smart decisions with the ball. Tonight however he looked as slow and lethargic as he did in the games prior to the first benching, I know people in the other thread were questioning whether the injury was legit and if it was a benching because of his comments, I think how he looked physically answered that question.

Yes, he was unable to make quick moves laterally, especially from left to right I thought. there was one play where he got by the defenders and just could not move to get the shot off from the left side of the hoop. He was noticeably limping after the game was over as well.

Yep completely wiffed on that one he did start off the game on the bench at gtown...I'm raising my hand in the air right now to let the ref (boneyard) know I got the foul ( I screwed up)

Don't be so hard on yourself. I think your basic point is decent and that Napier's game is more suited to a combo guard than a pure point. He's a very good shooter on open 3's but right now when he gets an open look off a pass he tends not to shoot it. I'm guessing his mindset of being the point guard has something to do with that.

I'd like to see what we could do with Boat as the clear point and Napier as a 1/2 combo. Bringing Napier off the bench and telling him to let Boat run things and to shoot when open, Johnny Gwynn style, would be an interesting way to go.

You guys are crazy. Boatright is like Kemba as a freshman, a nice change of pace guy and an exciting player. He is not smart or experienced enough to be the full time point guard for this team, yet. We can hope that eventually he will be. A lot of crap gets thrown on Shabazz, some deserved, but most not. There's a reason a HoF head coach has faith in him and will continue to do so.
