Way OT: TV1 Channel on Frontier

Frontier sucks but I just discovered this channel. I'm on my 3rd episode of What's Happening and suddenly feel like I'm 7 years old again. I used to beg my parents to let me stay up late to watch this! Haha.

You know that show is old when you see guys thumbing for a ride. When was the last time you saw anyone hitchhiking? I know it happens but is so rare. When I was in high school I could have literally walked down to the end of my street and thumbed my way from CT to California. Probably in less than a week.

Hitch-hiking in Storrs pretty much ended when Paget Weatherly (SP) was murdered while thumbing for a ride. This was 1969 or 70. She was an friend.
