First, the sound went in and out. Not necessarily a bad thing. But you could hear the announcers during what they thought were commercials. Not pretty.
It was a single shot from half court that followed the action. Good game view. Plus, it was not the jumbo-tron feed, it was the half court camera feed, so there were no commercial graphics and you could see the the foul shots. BIG IMPROVEMENT!
Yep, Miller was great at everything except knocking those ten foot jumpers from the side. His game is mature on both ends. He always seems to be in the right place.
Hamilton only played about ten minutes in the first half. He is a one man fast break. He rebounds and then beats everyone down court for a lay up for himself or someone else. He did this a couple of times. His handle looks a lot better.
Without going through the entire team, everyone else was fine but the refs called a million ticky tack fouls that seemed to favor Tampa and kept the game artificially close. Even so, the defense has room to improve. For the first game it was decent and Tampa shot well from the field. The game was never in doubt.
The ball movement was very good especially for this time of year. It was fast, side to side and in to out. This team is going show really good chemistry. The fast break is a work progress. Then pieces are there. Adams does not look like a freshman with the exception that he will occasionally force the ball. He looked good playing together with Gibbs.
Ollie substituted the entire team pretty early. Trading five for five. Only did that one time. He was pretty quiet. The only conversation I noticed was him talking to Gibbs when he came off the court.
It's an exhibition game but the Huskies scored over 40 points from the bench. Nice to see that kind of depth.
