This begins as a kick training video with Dave Teggart, but as UConn gets ready for the upcoming season...here's a little something to get you into that football frame of mind and good things to come...the kick that put UConn into the Fiesta Bowl. It begins at 5:46.

I have it on good account that it didn't really count because we did not score a TD in that game from our offensive line of scrimmage and then got beat in the Fiesta by one of the best teams in the country. Edsall had reached his ceiling and P/GDL were bringing in a really cool pro-style offense.

As sad as it is to say/write, that kick changed the perception of UCONN football. In a matter of seconds we went from "program on the rise" to Exhibit "A" of everything that was wrong with the BCS. The team and program took an unfair month-long pummeling in the media; essentially becoming a national joke for Letterman/Leno types. The loss was just the last nail. The change in national perception was complete; making it simple for the FSU and Clemson types to denigrate UCONN FB during CR. Then, to make sure there was no instant recovery, Hathaway conceived PPGDL.
