Wow, high scoring games today. Washington leading 57-50 at halftime. EDD w/ 16 and Toliver w/ 14. Griner leading everybody w/ 20 and DT has 15.

Yeah, lots of points tonight! 3 of 8 teams went over 100. Losing teams had 100 and 98. Only Chicago scored fewer than 79. Seattle had 94, but was on pace for 100 until they subbed and slowed things down.

Another loss for Phoenix...they came back a couple of times but couldn’t get the job done. Bad decision making on the last chance to tie it up and overall just poor defense and hustle. Still wouldn’t want to face them in the playoffs, but the recent skid by Vegas means Phoenix should be safe. Phoenix likely finishes with under 20 wins for the 4th time in 5 years despite having both Griner and Taurasi on the roster.

The big three scored 86% of all Phoenix points. Yikes! This is yet another game that I'm pretty sure Phoenix would have won had Sancho Lyttle been available. But credit to Washington; they shot the ball very well tonight, especially the three-ball. Washington is one of about three not-so-dark-horse teams that could take it all the way in September.
