Well the kitties are rolling. I'm not sure if the Pac-12 is going to run a tournament but if they are and the kitties manage to finish second I like their chances.

While the kitties defense is not at the same level of the Sun Devils I think you can expect the dawgs to have at least one single digit quarter and score under 55 in this game. I'm wondering if either Aari or Cate goes off in this game.

If this is a blowout and it likely will be I can see Pueyo coming off the bench and hitting some threes.

McDonald hitting shots today. EVERYBODY from Arizona is hitting, 13-19 overall, 5-5 behind the arc. No idea how UW is only down 34-21, feels like the margin should be much bigger.

They trade 3's right before the half. 37-24 UA. Cats shooting 63% and 6-7 behind the arc. Dawgs shooting 37%. Both teams have too many TOs (12 apiece). Again it seems miraculous that this is only a 13 point margin.

11 for McDonald, 9 for Thomas, 8 for Reese, 7 for Baptiste. Unusual balanced scoring for UA.

9 for Vandyke.

52-37 UA. Q3 media TO didn't come until under 3 minutes left. Cats had stretched their lead to 20 but UW cut it back down to 13.

Thomas is out of her mind today. 17 pts, 6-8 overall, 5-6 behind the arc. That's a lot more offense than she usually provides.

57-40 UA thru Q3. McDonald has gone cold after a hot start. Cats are shooting a ridiculous 10-13 behind the arc. 3 in double figures for UA, 1 for UW.

Not much scoring in Q4. 62-44 at the media TO. Thomas hit her career high 6th 3, now has 20 points.

Grr. We've reached the point in the game when the announcers feel the need to pump up the UW program. "Only scratching the surface, great things in store down the road." Give me a break. So patronizing, and just plain BS.

75-53 final. 20 each for Thomas and McDonald, 12 for Reese, 11 for Pellington.

13 for Miller and 12 for Vandyke.

Cats finish 12-16 from 3.

Just really disappointed in the Huskies and their play this season. Hopefully things turn around with a solid summer of basketball & the new recruits coming in next year.

I've given up hope on this regime. I don't see any reason to think next year will be much different than this year. One of those recruits arrived early--Finney--and she's had no impact. The others are similarly ranked. This year's Fr. have had their moments but overall haven't moved the needle at all. There just isn't enough talent to compete in the Pac 12. Vandyke is a nice player, but if she's your leading scorer you know you're in trouble. Nobody on the team is even close to 50% or better FG shooting. Nobody can make shots consistently, and it's been that way for 4 years. Not enough talent, poor offensive system, players don't develop much for the most part. This coaching staff is failing badly. I think the "give it more time" faction are delusional at this point.

Thomas was featured in the local paper today. Adia would happily take any of our 3 seniors back for the extra year next year - not that she considers it likely and they had a "Senior Day" streamed ceremony for them today, but she did admit that she will be recruiting them. Thomas said she will not think about it until after the season.
