article on Lauren Engeln, a UConn women's BB transfer to BC and within the article, written by Mike DiMauro of the "Day" was this statement:

"This is a program still digging its way from the roof collapse caused by SCAM: Sylvia Crawley's Absolute Mess. Crawley is the former coach who ruined everything Cathy Inglese and her three trips to the Sweet 16 built, leaving new coach Erik Johnson to emerge from the rubble."

Couldn't help but think it sounded strangely familiar. Hopefully HCBD can fix this collapsed "roof" faster than anyone can imagine. It is going to take some time, but how much is anybody's guess. UConn has some talent and certainly the appearance of a terrific staff. Perhaps only three seasons to get back to ascending, instead of what has been happening the last 3 seasons. Winning of the field coupled with a possible move to a new conference would be nirvana.

I would imagine the crossover between women's hoops and football fans is very slim. I've literally never heard of any of these people referenced here.

A lot will depend on whether the majority of the drop off was due to Ppgdl, which I believe is the case. We had talent and the NFL has proven that. What we did not have was skilled leaders. I will not be surprised to see us win 7-8 games next year, though I am hoping we can get to 6.

Yeah, that and the fact that except for hockey BCU is irrelevant as an athletic institution.

Are some of you so obtuse that you can't see this was absolutely not about BCU or trying to make a connection between sports other than the demise of a program? Geeze

When the letters B and C appear together in order, seemingly ordinary BYers have their eyes turn bloodshot, grab their pitchforks, axes and implements of destruction and then proceed to enact scenes from Braveheart, with Gene D as Longshanks.

An example from a kiddie soccer team would be just as relevant.
