Right after Shabazz hit the deep 3... the refs blew the whistle repeatedly.

Turns out they were checking the exact time left on the clock, but for a minute, I thought they would T up our bench. Almost 1/2 the players ran out onto the floor a bit before being corralled back once they realized there was just under a second left.

The way the season has been going, I assumed the worst. Quite the swing of emotions during that game.

Yeah I was busy in celebratory interpretive dance.

T probably would have made a slight difference but it's tough to do anything with .6 left.

I absolutely believed the refs were going to do something. Either T us up (which, by the way, we deserved -- these guys really act like they have no clue at times) or determine that the clock should have started earlier and the Napier chuck should have come after time expired (as they did when Xavier was cheated at DePaul two years ago).

But, the way this year has gone, I expected the refs to do something to not go down without a fight.

I thought the same, but after a few seconds of the commentators not saying anything of the sort, I knew we were fine.

Actually, I was afraid that Blaney had used his timeout before Shabazz released the ball, and the ref was blowing the whistle to wave the shot off and "reward" UConn a timeout. Seriously, I thought that's what happened. I was dead silent for about five seconds after the shot went in before erupting in cheers.

+1

I thought that too. I could've sworn I saw Blaney trying to get the ref's attention.
