Warning Points and Moderation

Let me first say: this is an honest question; I am not complaining. Please do not ban me for asking. I am not allowed to PM so I don't know how else to contact a mod.

How does the Warning Points system work? Are you released from having your posts actively moderated after the points expire? I can't make rhyme or reason out of it since the reasons given are vague or non-existent.

A warning for language is a warning for language. My favorite question is: "How does this work? How many warnings before I am banned?"

Why on Earth would I answer that question? One warning should be enough for anyone who cares about the site.
