From the article that was discussing the possibility of Ville/tOSU playing, which has been ruled out:

"The Buckeyes still have two openings on their schedule for 2015."

"Two prospects, BYU and UConn, both have games scheduled on both the 5th and 26th."

Edit - There is no indication whatsoever that there has been any contact but would ya give up a home game for a trip to Columbus (and no, tOSU is not going to do a home and home - unless it a conference game)??

2015
9/5 - Villanova
9/12 - Army
9/26 - Tennessee
10/31 - @ BYU

we need this game.. can't back down.. show what UCONN is all about... I, for one, think we can play with OSU... Our offense will be even better then... and I'm not even concerned about our D... that's our staple... We need to do this... BYU plays everybody already.. step aside and let UCONN in....

I wouldn't give in to this without a return game. Sets a precedent that will be tough to reverse. So, my answer is no. No return, then no deal. I rather play Michigan State home and home then just at Ohio State.

I would normally say, "Jump on it!" We need the exposure. BUT...that OOC schedule would be tough. Tennessee @ home and BYU and OSU on the road...that could be three ugly losses.

(Albeit could also be three transforming wins, but....)

You have to get a return game period. Unless you want to be a MAC school.

sorry guys we are not in the position to be "demanding" home & homes with the likes of OSU until the conference situation is settled or Rent expands. Same false pride that killed ND deal. could be argued UConn paying price for that fiasco now

We demanded it with Michigan and we can demand it with tOSU.

You want to be in the P5 act like one of them.

As for paying a price for ND...are you kidding me?

Not kidding art UConn national football perception would be a lot different if that series was being played as originally scheduled.

Not too many schools UConn should do a one-off for, but OSU is on the short list

I would drop Nova in a heartbeat. Drop a P.S. thanks for nothing you frigging bums.

We are not attracting attention of CFB powers or recruits playing Nova. Bring it on. I would love to see us set a return date, even if it is in 2023 (i.e. optics). Hell, I'd do a 2-1 w/our one at either Rent (provided stadium is at 55K min. or MetLife, Yankee or Gilette).

Get this done UConn. Our new motto is, anyone, anywhere - bring it on!

Set the return game for Met Life or Yankee stadium if you have to but get the game at their place first and foremost. All the more reason to make damn sure the Michigan game goes off well if you want to even have a hope of the return being at the Rent.

I do feel you only do this if you get a return game. Recruits & fans aren't going to care that we played at Ohio St. one time. That's not bigtime. We gotta get them back here, preferably at the Rent, but I'd be okay with Met Life, Yankee Stadium, Gillette, etc.

Offer a 2018 home game with a low buyout, provided they pay to get rid of Nova. Wink, nod...let's play.

Do it. @ OSU in 2015 with a return game. Allow the opportunity for neutral site games - give Bob-o Kraft-o a call. Call a spade a spade - a few of these AAC schools are MAC caliber, we might as well play an unreal OOC schedule. And while you're at it, throw in a H & H for bball too.

Hey sorry Nova, maybe Butler or Xavier has an open date on that day...

Without an expanded Rent, we are not hosting Ohio State. We're lucky Michigan is coming this year! That said, YES YES ONE THOUSAND TIMES YES! I would absolutely dump Nova for a one off road game at the Horseshoe. I'd even do a home and "home" where we play at MetLife, Gilette, Yankee, Fenway...wherever they deem to be more attractive. That is, if the CDA will allow us to play a "home" game away from the Rent.

A road game against a powerhouse program in the B1G > a cupcake home game that won't even come close to selling out anyway (gate revenue would be limited). Dump Nova and play OSU! I would DEFINITELY go to that game.

I'd take it in a freaking heartbeat. We need exposure. Playing quality teams is the way to get it.

Do we leave it to chance and assume WM is aware of tOSU's plight and at least considering this? Or do we get a bit more proactive? He doesn't know me from Adam but I'm an alum and willing to represent for us. Or has somebody here already done that . . . maybe someone with an established relationship . . . or at least an email address that doesn't dump right into his spam folder? Time keeps on slippin, slippin, slippin, into the future.
