Agreed. The most joy I've had in the past year of UCONN football was the day all of those false Twitter rumors circulated about GDL going to the Giants.

I think you nailed it BoatShow. WM supplies the motivation and fire and delegates the other stuff.

Just asking, does the AD even have the authority to fire assistant coaches for performance issues, non-behavioral type stuff? When other assistants are let go, like at Texas, it usually sounds like the HC makes the decision. IIRC Manuel suggested to PP to get a new OC, PP tried to get GDL a job in the NFL that fell through for unknown reasons. The decision to put GDL on the OL was PP's, after WM told him to get a new OC. Also not sure if WM suggested or told PP he had to hire Weist, or if PP decided on Weist himself. In any case, PP owns the GDL decision and this should be included in any evaluation.
