Found it at my chiropractor's office this AM in hard copy, but cannot find it on line. It's Breanna "as told to Richard Deitsch" and it's pretty cool. Do they let the world in a couple of weeks post-publication or what?

"Away from basketball I like to shop for shoes, I probably own hundreds. There's a pair I just got, and I love them so much that I don't know if I will ever wear them. ... and I like to bake. I've gotten pretty good at making chocolate chip cookies and snickerdoodles, but I'm not quite ready to take orders." SI

Best for me is what she considered the best part of the Championship night and how it was grounded in "when we are together, we act like one person." A very deep bond between the 3.

What kind of job can the average student get with a "Sports in Society" degree?

Thanks very much Coco! However, bags27 is right. :) That article is from April 6. The article, written by Breanna, was published in hard copy the 18th. Love the effort though. :)
OK! Here is the deal,:D @JavaMan is MIA. If he were not MIA you wouldn't need me because he would have had the article posted the day it was posted not weeks later when you decide to visit your chiropractor.. Secondly, you mentioned "as told to Richard Deitsch" and naturally I assumed Richard wrote the article. Stewie wrote this article. So despite your misdirection I glad someone found the right article, because it was a great read. That was a Norristown thankyou just in case anyone was confused.

Depends, is that a Master's or Bachelor's degree? Remember "average" students don't play on UCONN WB team.

The same one that Duke graduates get. Waiter. If you are your average 4 time NCAA champ, and predicted same, and anticipate a long pro career followed by .... you are probably looking at mid 6 figures at a minimum your first 6 months after graduating with that degree. Pretty dump major, huh?

Not sure but probably some said the same of Norman Mingo the refiner of your avatar! :D The sports industry is huge right now and for the near future. From ESPN / ABC having multiple networks, CBS the same, NBC the same, Fox etc. All professional teams of every sport have staff beyond what the average viewer would believe. P5 conferences have their own networks. There is a astounding amount of work in the sports world.
This may not be a course a average student would take if having no interest in sports. Then again if one wanted to be a writer, broadcaster, analyst, sideline reporter, track side reporter, photographer, camera person etc.
Coaching at any level should be included. The options are endless as we have more sports in our country at this time than manufacturing!

Thank you for your research. I might have been tempted to take this major back in the day.
