Some walking wounded at #UConn practice: Jesse Joseph, Jimmy Bennett, Martin Hyppolite, Ellis Marder (mono), Shamar Stephen.

Other notes, perhaps encouraging for some of the Yarders who aren't keen on Coach Blue's style:

@PaulDoyle1
At Day 2 of #UConn spring practice, Coach P like new offensive coordinator TJ Weist's energy. Weist all over the field, running, yelling.

@PaulDoyle1
Pasqualoni: “T.J brings a lot of energy to the practice field. It’s important in this game. ... that you come out [with] a lot of passion."

We saw this difference in energy in the Cinci-UConn game at the end of last season from the pregame warmups on. I'm glad Coach Weist is on our side now. We really need to up the energy level on offense and it has to start from Day 1. It has to become a good habit.

What a stupid thing to say. A cheap shot that the coaching staff doesn't deserve. Grow up!

Your kidding right? Are you GDLs son?

No pride in kicking a man while he's down, even if you think he deserves it. Sometimes it's the things you don't say which makes you a decent human being.

GDL is like a weatherman. Is extremely well compensated, but doesnt perform to what the expectations are. The only difference that I can see is that weathermen use extremely sophisticated weather radar systems while GDL uses wall paper from the 1970's. The fact is, if I were to underachieve for 2 consecutive years, my ass would be in the unemployment line. Its life and this not kicking a man crap is part of the pussification of this country. Trophies for everyone!

LOL at kicking a man while he's down. He deserved to be fired. Instead he is still drawing a 6 figure paycheck doing a job he failed miserably at for the last 2 years. Everybody does not get a trophy in college football.
