Does anyone know if we officially have one?
Is that including all the BYers who have unofficially volunteered to sign up for continuing education courses and help out in Geno's 80 on 5 practice drills?Officially - no
Unofficially - two

Hey, my legs are still pretty good. Probably from carrying all that extra weight above the belt around.Putting a BY team of volunteers consisting of Icebear, Doggy, Meyers7, Phil and myself on the court would instantly make Bria taller, MoJeff faster, Stef funnier, raise KML's 3 pt shooting % and allow Stewie to dunk at will....Everyone would enjoy the spectacle of the five of us in shorts and the team would realize that whatever their current issues might be, at least 5 people in the world are far worse off....
Go Huskies...!!
That sounds BEARable.Hey, my legs are still pretty good. Probably from carrying all that extra weight above the belt around.

I was watching a Texas\Baylor volleyball game last night, and they mentioned that one of the national champ Longhorn VB players switched over to join the BB squad the day after they won the title. Possibly another source that the Huskies could look at, as there are a few VB players listed as "defensive specialists," though I guess that means they're diggers as they're all between 5'4" and 5'8," plus one of those free ranging "libero" defensive specialists, which I guess is like Kelly Faris last year. There are some other players 6'2" and over whose specialty is blocks (and I would just love to see some two-handed defensive stuffs this year) and there are some who are listed as "outside hitters" and who could be useful as enforcers in the Rutgers games. We need girls who can go out and give a few decent minutes. Probably with the emphasis on their defensive skills. The cross country running, sprinter who also jumps can probably do that.
That's no problem, as walk-ons of all types are needed in practices. I'm sure there are a few BYers who could become expert floppers to help prepare UConn for certain teams on this year's schedule. And if we can get one halfway decent imitation of a lurchy type dive from every BYer, that will help the Huskies prepare for the ND foul collection strategy if the teams meet up in the tournament. Most BYers are too old to even climb the stands.
She played in high school. Did track and field too.Kelly Faris would have been the ultimate libero.
So Kelly as possibly a libero might have been tasked with digging for every ball and chasing them way out of bounds to send them back for a desperation hit. Sounds like her. Or she may have been the tallest girl on her team and been a blocker and hitter. She played in high school. Did track and field too.
