William &Mary up 7 with 5 min. Left in first half. ESPNU

They're carving up St. Johns' matchup zone. I know they're taking a lot of threes, but they're wide open just about every shot.

Nine turnovers by W&M, but they've hit 6 threes- up 6.

I know they have plenty of time to tighten things up, and they definitely will, but damn...we would put up 100 points on this St. Johns team.

SJU down 7 at half. Some serious brick-laying but Harkless looks pretty good. Alex and Andre should have an absolute field day inside against them. Very little size/strength.

They shot horribly, and were actually out-rebounded, but they're only down seven at halftime. If they can tighten up the perimeter in the second half, they win.

Kind of a shame. I was hoping for an improved and competitive St. Johns especially with the defections.

W&M is not a good team, St. John's is horrid.

W&M has absolutely no frontcourt. They're not even trying to do anything but chuck up 3s.

What's the status of their 3 ineligible players...are they still in running to play next semester or is that out of the question?

if boatright can play which he should be able to by the time we play the johnnies, i think he will shred the press like kemba did his fresh and soph year

Harkless actually looks like hes gonna be a pretty good player. Better off that he bailed because it would have been harder to get DD and AD

Johnnies have no size, but you gotta root for someone named Gods Gift. It is going to be a long season for them.

I thought Harkless looked excellent, and God's Gift was quite good too, if a bit undersized... They have some good pieces to build on. It's worth noting that the announcers said at the start that W&M was missing a couple of it's most important players...

Nurideen Lindsey had a great game. If he could hit a damn free throw, he could've had 25. He also had 5 steals and 4 assists and forced all sorts of chaos when W&M tried to run offense.

If St. John's had any size or depth at all, they could possible make a run at a conference favorite, especially at home. But with only eight players getting pt and only two players 6'7" or taller, they're in survival mode in most Big East games. It's going to be a real learning experience for all of those freshmen.

It's funny, usually I root for the BE team in any OOC game. Somehow, with the BE breakup (or close to it) I found myself rooting for Wm & Mary.

I'm rooting for them more. As long as UConn is still in the BE I want their fellow conference members to demonstrate the BE is still a force to reckon with. A strong St. Johns would have reduced the talking heads spin about how the BE will fall with Cuse and Pitt heading to the ACC.

I guess I'll have to hope that the future turns out better for BE basketball than the present seems to indicate.

Routing for BE team def has a different meaning this year. I always routed for BE teams when we were not playing them- now Pitt (scum), Quse, WV and Lville all have left or have one foot out the door. It will never be the same and I could care less if pitt, quse or WV wins even a single game this year. The only reason to care is our RPI and frankly I do not think it matters if we are a 1 seed or a 5 seed if we are playing well come March.

They are all dead to me.
