He has been going to summer school at Western Kentucky and Franklin traveled to that school last week to watch Bradley work out. Bradley then visited VU on Friday and signed while on campus.

Vincennes, Indiana is about 325 miles from Chattanooga, TN. For comparison that's like Storrs to Baltimore, MD. Not exactly a hop, skip and a jump. So is his grandmother better now? Just sayin'.

Can't fault a guy for leaving for family reasons... But a shame it went down this way. Saw him play in the pro am and he is quite an athlete, and a very serious big body... He would've played a good Charles Okwandu type role this year, which eventually would have taken him pro in a few years overseas... Now I wonder if he'll have any bball future post college... From what I've heard, a really nice kid

MB earned a permanent pass for any decisions about his basketball life in my opinion. I'll only root for him.

I don't want anyone this dumb on my team anyway. He probably won't even see any minutes at VU because he sucks.

I know the sacrifice he would have made if AD didn't decide to walk on but he's now thrown away any chance of a basketball career. Everyone said he was a smart kid, but is not a smart move to leave a top 58 national university for a juco.

One more thing: Nobody leaves college because of a sick grandmother. It is and always has been a bs excuse for a waiver. College is the best time of your life. Everyone loves their grandma, but it just doesn't happen.

Why isn't this a smart move? He needs to play and can't play D-1 this year and will never get this year back if he sits. So he plays juco this year and can play D-1 next year if they still want him.

Vincennes appears to be a junior college, by the way. I wonder why he didn't just stick with Western Kentucky. If it was academic reasons, that will hurt our APR.

Also, does it hurt our APR if he transfers to a Junior College while in good academic standing?

For the 32nd time, he didn't leave because his grandmother was sick.

He got duck*ed around with here, he got a bucketful of bad advice elsewhere and then made a series of decisions that have resulted with him playing at a backwater junior college.

Not a good story all around.

Pretty sure UConn could have gotten a waiver if his grades were high enough and he transferred on scholarship to a 4 school and gotten that point back.

Yes. But he didn't. He transferred to a JC. Hopefully the NCAA doesn't decide to retroactively raise the APR requirement to 1000.

He's now transferred, effectively, from Western Kentucky to a junior college.

I don't think we were ever going to get the retention points back on either Roscoe or Bradley.

Bradley we shouldn't have lost points for -- he was an excellent student who left with a GPA > 2.6. But now that he's going to a JC instead of a 4-year college, do we lose that point?

You give a guy a schollie for 2 years who never got on the court and you lose a point even though he had good enough grades. That's bogus.

His APR is WKU's problem.

He had to transfer in order to play this year. My guess is that the WKU staff was okay with this. If he had sat out he would've gone 3 years without playing in a competitive game.

And this is supposed to show that they care about education? It is better to completely drop out of college than to transfer?!?!?! Don't get me wrong, I am fully aware that none of the kids on any top program give a crap about education. But if the NCAA is going to try an appear to create a rule that encourages education of kids that don't care about their education, one would think transferring would be seen as preferrable over leaving college completely.
