if I remember correctly Vital had 30 a couple of years ago and a 29-point game as well.

He played really well today. He really has come a long way. Matured greatly. Those w*f shots don't happen anymore. He is peaking at the perfect time. AG looked real good today too, IMO.

Yeah he's been incredible.

Recent UConn players with 30 include CV versus BU his sophomore year, Purvis vs USF in the AAC tournament his senior year, and Jalen Adams vs OK State in Maui.

Jalen had 31 last year against Tulane as well, apparently. Had to look at the game logs for that one.

CV really willed us to a win today, seemed like no one else was willing to step up in second half. Loved Whalley's energy (again) and thought Al stepped up

This game was all Vital, half Whaley, and 3/4 Gilbert. But if we're going anywhere in the tournament this week we'll need more than that. Better defense, much better three point shooting, more from Bouknight in particular, and better finishing inside will get us there. We need to take command early and put away Tulane on Thursday.

My Dad brought me to my first game on Feb 21 1967 when Wes hit for 42 in the Fieldhouse against New Hampshire. Wes was on an unreal run in his senior year when looking back at the stats of that season. I used to have the program but it is gone now.
