kind of worried about Giffey, and if this tourney stretches into late Sept how would he be able to make up the school work?

like the notes about Samuel, I don't understand why posters on here keep referring to him as a combo guard, he's a true pg

Still, Giffey might get a pro offer from a German team that he can’t refuse. We’ll see.

Me no like the sound of that.

Nice to see that R.J. got picked up in England.

Our boy P. Chardis did a great job at the JI back in the day. Phil is a good guy.

Maybe that's why Ollie had Lasan Kromah waiting in the wings when Wolf's scholarship opened up. He possibly needed a replacement for Giffey, not Wolf.

Good point. Very possible.

I think Giffey would come back for his senior year regardless of any offers. Then he will go pro the next year in Germany.

Yeah I don't see why Niels wouldnt just graduate and get his degree before going over to play professionally. Its not like his stock is going to fall for a draft

No way of predicting what NG will do. He obviously is on the radar with European teams. So he could decide to go for immediate money while he is hot. Most likely his decision will boil down to whether playing at UConn could increase his exposure to the NBA vs. playing in Europe.

I'm sure there are plenty of ways to do it. The basketball team travels a ton anyway, this would just be like that except from Europe.

It is a bull market relating to ticker symbol GIFF on the Frankfurt stock exchange. I am a buyer of that stock right now. I will not be shorting or selling it any time soon. Strong hold.

The electronic trading technology can't work fast enough to get this GIFF stock. :)

Market getting a little skittish currently. Not necessarily time to sell but not a time to buy. Second quarter NG missed a layup, left his player wide open for a three a got pulled after two minutes of play. Didn't see first quarter.

Some thoughts:

-if AMA and Robinson doesn't work out, I'd be happy with Bonzie at PF and Robinson at SF.
-Glad to see improvement from DeAndre. Suprised he doesn't look any bigger. It was last reported he was up about 10 pounds.
-Phil will be the starting C this season. His added weight should really help him.
-I'd be very happy if Brimah could grab 4-6 rebounds and block a shot or 2 per game this season. Not expecting any offense from him.
-Facey is a sleeper for this year.
-Kromah sounds 10x better than RJ Evans. At 6'5" he has handle, can score, rebound, and play solid D.

We should be a top 15 pre-season team.

Time to start buying some more shares. Came back in at end of half hitting a deep three, playing great defense, getting an end of the half rebound and almost hitting a 3/4 length of the court shot!

I bought the stock ticker symbol GIFF and today decided to sell covered call options to generate monthly income without losing the shares. Because of today's performance by GIFF the stock did not hit the designated monthly strike price causing me to lose my GIFF shares. I collected my nice premium and still have the shares long term! ;)
