What about the Mormon's though, I think they carry some weight in Utah? Maybe this is a carrot to get them into the Big12...
 
BYU can join the Big 12 anytime they choose to play by the television rules. Would be terrible for the Big East though as either Louisville or Boise would join them.
 
Not sure how much BYU cares about being in the "cartel". Besides they are a private university. Once Utah was taken care of, Utah AG's was fine.
