I think we’ll be involved here. We’re in the market for a big guard who can shoot and he fits the bill. AND we’ve seen him a bunch. He was all AAC Danny’s first year with us.

Ollie extended an offer out of high school. Was originally going to say no way, but he significantly improved his outside shooting this season, however, his free throw shooting is abysmal.

I do see him as an upgrade for 5th guard next year behind Diggins, Hawkins, Cole, and Gaffney but he would have to be willing to play for a contender and accept very few minutes next year.

That 3P% is an aberration. He’s a guard that barely hits 50% from the FT line. His ORtg (even with an inflated 3P%) was 92 and he was 6th in BPM on a 9-13 AAC team. Collins hustles his ass off, but he’s just not good.

Yeah he's not actually good. He's the kinda guy that looks good in a uniform and when he drives hard and gets an And-1. But he doesn't consistently make winning plays. He shouldn't have made all-league the year he made it either.

Dan Hurley has seen this kid, probably sees g positional need to strengthen, he plays 2-3. Not sure if he can run point but he's strong guy with a good motor. Those are all tools for an outstanding defensive player who adds grit. Got to be willing to play a support role I would suspect.
