USF vs TULSA

Trying to catch the USF women's game. The camera work is making my wife and I sick..

I tuned in beginning of 2nd quarter
Seems like it was a low-scoring 1st quarter.
Since I started watching, S Fl scoring 3's in bunches and really quite impressive
against a somewhat better Tulsa bunch (not good, but better).

Laksa is outscoring Tulsa 21-16 by herself.

S Fl is going to be a handful...they actually play a lot like us.

USF up 36-23 at the half. Laksa has 24 points so far, including 6 of 9 from three. Amazing that she can shoot that well with a broken finger on her shooting hand.

Laksa has 6 threes at halftime.

Since USF basically plays a 4-guard rotation I'm not sure which Husky will get her defensive assignment. Would be a fun/tough challenge for KLS.

The problem for South Fl will be on the defensive end and whether they can score enough to keep up.
Stopped watching, but their point total is modest.

As Geno said, we will never be beaten by a single player. Any number of our players can lock her down if needed.

Well, sure. Both have five players allowed on the court at once. Both have the same foul rules. Both have the same size court....

Katie Lou will not be guarding Laska much. Kia will start on her. She doesn't drive much unless she's diversified her game. Geno always has a strategy to shut down the other team's number 1 option. Laska should be easier to stop than Williams.
