And here I purchased extra tickets at full (or is it fool?) price through UConn a couple months ago for additional family and friends attending with my group this weekend.

As a season ticket holder, I am seriously going to look at buying tickets on a per-game basis next year and save on the seat donation. I know it's not the politically correct thing to do from a fan perspective - but certainly the financially correct course of action.
