Reibe & Reed on the court together, Reibe high post( can face hoop and hit from foul line , draw them out.. down low to reed and/or kick out for 3, couple times, they will start collapsing and open 3 line, keep Reed down low!
Was at Marquette game, thought it was gonna happen down the stretch, 1 min together!

I would imagine affording to have the really tall Forward types like a Hilton Armstrong or Charlie Villanueva playing along side a Center are simply too much NIL $$ now.

Why do we think the guy shooting 50% from the stripe is going to be a threat in that position exactly?
I don't know about this one - I know Dusty has employed a bit of it, but it requires the second big to have some guard-like skills, like a Wolf or a Johnson. I'd be afraid to see Reibe put it on the floor.

He once again said we would see it this season, wish we saw it some early in the season.

High skill level for big man, need to let him knock down a few from 15! He is quite capable!

Wow! Thank you for that insightful and unique observation. We should create some kind of shorthand for it. Maybe something like "twice the large people" or something?
Hurley mentioned in an interview yesterday as a possibility (with Stewart out) knowing AK can't play 40 mins a game in tourneys....so that's where the thought is coming from I assume. Hurley said they practiced 2 bigs this week in case they need as an option.

I would’ve preferred to see Stew or Ross start for Ball or Mullins, but that ship has sailed.

Two bigs is an excellent idea if you want foul trouble and Koroma playing 5-10 min in the 2H.

We saw it for all of 30 seconds vs marq. I feel like Reed has the agility to move his feet with a lot of 4s on defense

With a three day tournament approaching , best bet might be to just give Millender some bridge minutes, if possible. Might be the safest bet.

NO!

We should see if Danny Wolf is available. I hear he is good in this kind of setup.

I don’t think Hurley will roll out double bigs for offense. I think it would be for rebounding and size in the paint defensively. I think we would only see it against teams with big front courts. Mich, fla, zona, Illinois. There may be one or two other teams I missed. If Hurley thinks we match up size wise with a team we play I don’t think we’ll see double bigs.

That's a good take - he could trial it for down the road, get some reps in. Those would be the big 4. Not sure how a Mullins/AK combo goes up against UM and their 4 and 3.

Double bigs is an analytically superior offense that would generate better 3 attempts. The first coach that figures this out will change college basketball.

I think Koroma can just play a bit at the 4 rather than Reed + Reibe. He's basically an old school 4 anyway.
