USC takes lead on 4 year schollies

USC will offer four-year athletic scholarships to all scholarship student-athletes in the revenue sports of football and men's and women's basketball in lieu of the current practice of offering one-year renewable scholarships, USC athletic director Pat Haden announced Monday.

I'd like to see UConn do the same .... and not after everyone else does so, but soon.

I think all schools used to offer 4 year scholarships. When the NCAA limited the number of players you could have on scholarship (mid '70s), schools started making them 1 year scholarships. I think Ohio State used to have 150 players on scholarship in the late 60's.
