Thanks for this. It's really very informative. He brings Kayleigh and Blanca in for Serah and Ash in the first quarter and they go on an 11-0 run. Then to start the 3rd the starting team goes on a 14-2 run. That is 23 of your 28 point final margin. It's the changes in the rhythm of the game that can be so deadly with this team. A little change here or there and bang.

Geno famously said that "your subs should make you better." Now, I don't think that means you leave your best players on the bench to start the game, instead, exactly to your point, your subs should create a change of pace and style that is difficult for the opposition to adjust to.

And this is why Geno loves to have a few "power" subs to change it up, and IMHO why he may keep Blanca as a sub.

What is the significance of the #column on the far left of the cumulative table? In the table for each game it refers to when each rotation is on the floor. Is something similar being suggested in the cumulative table, or does it reflect something else?

Rotations are not equal in terms of intent. By the later stages of most games, with the Huskies ahead by gobs, Geno puts in players that may not contribute anything on either end of the court, but rewards effort, attitude, and the ability to remember how to tie one's sneakers.
That's why the MOV numbers drop off from, say, a 40-point lead to a more modest 28-point win. The exception here was the 3rd quarter of the Michigan game when everyone suddenly developed the chilblains and scored only 4 points. Rectified when Azzi reanimated in the 4th.
This happens about once every century, so be alert to it.

No real statistical significance. It’s just ordering in the cumulative list.

I order all possible unique combinations (all 3,003) by a rotations score (each player is assigned a 2^n score; KK is 1 (2^0); Azzi is 2 (2^1), etc.; the rotations score is the sum of player scores).

The # in the cumulative list is the rank of an actual rotation in the list of actual unique rotations (out of 3,003 rotations) based on the rotations score.

The current starting rotation has the lowest possible rotation score and its rank/# is 1.
