Duke as a 5 is laughable. Didn't even look at the rest after seeing that.

Great draw for us with games in NYC and playing the weakest number 1 in Xavier. We can show the New Big East how real Basketball is played.

I'm pretty sure this guy had UConn as one of the last 4 in after beating G'town, yet has actually moved them up after losing to Cincy. I wouldn't put any stock in his stuff.

Oh yeah, and as for the completely irrational seeding of Duke, not surprised considering this is him:

Duke as a 5 and Maryland as a 4 is a joke.
While I mostly agree with this, it's worth noting that our current claim to fame is a #27 overall ranking and #5 defense on Kenpom. Duke is actually #14 overall with the #2 offense.

So I don't think it's entirely crazy to see them as a 5 seed, even if I disagree.

I'm not complaining about us having a 9-seed. Even if you think Duke is a good enough team to warrant a 5-seed, their resume doesn't back that claim up, which is what the committee looks at.

Nobody's resume is great this year, though. That's the point I'm making.

With 9 or 10 games left everyone's resume can get much better or much worse. I would say right now UConn will go between 9-1 & 5-5 over the last 10....have 6 moderate/difficult games & 4 somewhat easy games left....honestly have no idea what our record will be come 3/6. Some of the road games will come down to the last possession and hopefully some luck is on our side.

I do know that Cincy, Temple, Tulsa & even Memphis all have thoughts about March...however a long shot some of them may be they will not lay down until they are buried. UConn has the most talent in the AAC, now is the time to show it.

But their resume isn't anything close to Maryland's, yet they're separated by only one seed line.
By the eye test I agree, but Kenpom has them separated by just 4 spots - Maryland at No. 10 and Duke at No. 14. That'd make Maryland a 3 and Duke a 4.

Maryland is 1-3 v. Top 50 and 7 Top 100 wins and has a 44 SOS
Duke is 2-5 v. Top 50 and 10 Top 100 wins and has a 30 SOS

Their resumes are not vastly different but Maryland's RPI is 5 and Duke's is 25, so Maryland should be probably 2 seed line ahead

Last time I checked, Dook was in like 8th place in the ACC
